It’s sad, but if you walk up and down Route 9 from Fishkill to Poughkeepsie, you might notice that the road can often look like a graveyard of businesses. Maybe not quite a graveyard because a lot of those old businesses are still standing. They are rather monuments or sanctuaries.
Have you ever become attached to a restaurant? Maybe you like the menu. Maybe you like the prices or maybe they’re just in a convenient location. Whatever the reason, if you become a regular it really sucks when they close their doors for good.
Some people want these companies to never give up. Many residents of Dutchess County and beyond have had fond memories of these places.
