“I am absolutely thrilled to host the premier vegan food festival in Berkeley,” Hazel told VegOut. “I think this event will really bring the community together, both vegan and non-vegan, with an array of shows, vendors and live activities.”
The festival includes both local and national vendors, such as Cali Dawg, Dr. Hops Real Hard Kombucha, Planet Vegan Burgers, Chef Reina, and more. Participants aged 21 and over can also participate in free wine and hard kombucha tastings. Additionally, speakers will share the work of their organizations in the local communities of Berkeley and East Bay.
“I wanted to not only make this festival an event about the vegan community, but also link other local causes, so that we can support each other,” added Hazel. “It is important for us to know how to improve the lives of animals in all its aspects, not just when it comes to food. “
In its commitment to supporting local organizations, the Bizerkely Vegan Food Festival will also host a silent auction to benefit the Friends of Berkeley Animal Care Services, a non-profit organization committed to raising funds to support essential programs and services in the region.
