KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Applications are now being accepted for the 2022 DFA CoLAB Accelerator program, which will start in April and run until June 2022.
The program, now in its sixth year, is designed to foster relationships with start-ups and help advance innovative solutions in the fields of agricultural technology and dairy products.

Key criteria for applicants
For the 2022 program, DFA’s CoLAB accelerator is looking for agricultural technology companies with applications or technologies related to any part of the dairy value chain, including, but not limited to animal health. , agricultural data management, herd health and management, supply chain optimization, agricultural work and sustainability.
Some categories of agricultural technologies of particular interest to DFA include alternatives to antibiotics, renewable or alternative energy methods, agricultural workforce solutions, food waste management technologies, automation and robotics, On-farm connectivity, animal identification and monitoring, and animal transportation technologies, to name a few. .
On the food front, the agricultural cooperative is looking for early stage food companies that focus on dairy or dairy products, including products that use milk, cheese, butter, whey or milk. ‘other dairy-based ingredients.
Companies developing innovative processing or manufacturing technologies for dairy products, including sustainable packaging, will also be considered.
DFA’s CoLAB Accelerator includes:
â¢ 90-day immersive program, with in-person and virtual training from April to June 2022.
â¢ Access to senior DFA executives, with each startup having a top-level DFA contact relevant to their area of ââactivity.
â¢ Educational sessions on a variety of topics important to startup growth including finance, business development, distribution and supply chain, product development, branding, sales and marketing, l packaging and pricing.
â¢ Additional workshops focusing on areas such as leadership development, team building and creating a corporate culture.
