A solid cafe tucked away in the northwest corner of Hoboken. Beyond espresso drinks and chai latte – plant-based drink options available, the menu has a variety of delicious sandwiches and salads, many of which are vegan. Some favorites include the Portobello and Roasted Pepper Sandwich / Salad, Avocado Toast, and Gluten Free Handcrafted Granola Bars.

A little gem in the Jersey City Heights neighborhood that makes healthy, organic food with minimally processed ingredients. Many sandwiches, salads, and breakfast items can be made vegan – and all are gluten-free. The restaurant also offers meal plan delivery services with weekly seasonal menus.

The bakery that made its name with buttery croissants and crunchy baguettes doesn’t disappoint those looking for gluten-free / vegan options, either. Its vegan pastries are no less airy and buttery than those made from butter. Gluten-free bread has recently been added to the menu, which looks like sourdough bread with nice cracks on the crust.

The bakery offers a large selection of gluten-free and vegan desserts. The insanely rich flourless chocolate almond cake, also available for cupcakes, is a favorite even among the gluten-free crowd. Truffle cookies, personal size pies and plenty of cupcakes are also available.

The owner of More Life draws on his Dominican heritage and makes vegan versions of Caribbean comfort food. Customers can order in the cafeteria choosing from a wide selection of dishes. There’s also a set menu of gourmet sandwiches and quesadillas, many of which are gluten-free.

A popular little cafe that has been serving delicious vegan food since 2003, opened by three siblings in their parents’ old bodega. The gluten-free options, which as stated on the menu include some really interesting entrees such as barbecue cauliflower and buffalo tempeh. In particular, he prepares gluten waffles for breakfast, with the possibility of adding different savory accompaniments.

A quaint neighborhood pizzeria with a full vegan menu. You can never go wrong with the vegan margherita and the classic cheese pizza, but also try the menu staple pie is the BBQ “Pork” pulled with shredded baby jackfruit and red onions. Gluten-free pies are also available on request.
