Morrisons is the first supermarket to reveal Valentine’s Day dinner as a meal for two

Morrisons revealed his Valentine’s Day meal plan and it’ll save you £18.50 compared to buying the more expensive products individually.

The Dine in for Two Meal Deal includes an appetizer, a main course, two sides, a dessert and a choice of wine or soft drink.

As a starter, customers have a choice of scallops and prawns, a tear of camembert and bread to share, mushrooms stuffed with garlic and cream cheese, mussels in chorizo ​​sauce, or the vegan option of roasted mushroom pâté. .

Main courses include classic beef wellington, beef lasagna, sirloin steaks with peppercorn butter, coq au vin, pork tenderloin wrapped in prosciutto or sole with smoked haddock, salmon and a cheddar and prosecco sauce.




The vegan option is a “wellington without beef”.

For sides, there are thick fries, carrots and kale, cauliflower cheese, scalloped potatoes, mixed vegetables, ciabatta sticks or new potatoes.

Desserts range from slices of fresh vanilla cheesecake to gourmet profiteroles with raspberries and white chocolate or well-washed pink gin jelly shots.

Or, you can indulge in creme brulee or vegan chocolate brownie puddings.




The drink selection has a massive 12 options, with the most expensive on regular prices being The Best Marques De Los Rios Rioja Crianza, which would cost £8 apart from the meal deal.

Prosecco, white, red or rosé wine and soft drinks are also offered.
