Unless you enjoy skiing or have a fabulous collection of coats, outdoor winter dates are generally off limits. So, it’s inside! Offers On The Table in-person and virtual cooking classes. However, the cookware retailer also offers “Date Night” course for two. You can learn to cook together in a low pressure setting, and come away with a great meal and some new skills.
Date Night classes are offered in person in cities across the United States on select evenings. They are led by professional chef instructors and typically last two to two and a half hours. Prices may vary depending on course menu, date and time, but generally range from $ 79 to $ 89 per person.
If there isn’t an in-person class near you, you can also schedule an evening with a live online cooking class. Sur La Table’s online cooking classes start at just $ 29 per household, and you can cook with a date or a few friends. Before the class, you will receive a prep packet with your shopping list and instructions. Classes are 90 to 120 minutes long and are delivered on Zoom, where you can ask questions of your instructor as you get them.
Cooking can be fun, especially when you have great company to share your meal. Plus, if it’s a second or third date, there’s an activity that might help you avoid awkward silences.
