Warriors fans will see dozens of new foods and drinks on the menu at the Chase Center – CBS San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX) – In case you counted, it’s been about 575 days since the Warriors played to a full house in San Francisco. All of that changes on Wednesday with the opening of the preseason.

KPIX 5’s Betty Yu got a glimpse of the all-new food and drink that debuts in the arena on Tuesday.

The Chase Center catering team said they’ve been very busy off-season creating new items for everyone’s taste.

“We want to elevate the food, that same luxury that they can find in a hotel, I want the fans to have the same experience here at the Chase Center,” said Culinary Director Chef Chad Neuman.

New additions include vegan pastrami sandwiches, chicken and waffles, and a vegan brownie batter milkshake. Fans can also order buttery popcorn ice cream in a vegan blue corn tortilla cone, inspired by Steph Curry’s favorite treat.

Most of the updates are herbal options, which can be found on all floors and in all restaurants.
To limit touchpoints, fans can also order everything through the Warriors + Chase Center app.

In total, Chase Center is adding 50 new items, a new restaurant called “Room for Dessert” and a new wine bar called “The Splash Wine Bar”.

The Warriors also have specialty cocktails, including the Warriors Punch and the Golden 75.

Neuman and pastry chef Bianca Montijo, both from Puerto Rico with culinary backgrounds, want the menu to reflect the diversity of the Bay Area.

“So, for example, at Room For Desserts, we’re going to be offering a panini ice cream sandwich and the bread we’re going to use is a sweet bread that we eat in the morning at home,” Montijo said.

For fans looking for classics like hot dogs, Neuman said fans can still find them at the Chase Center. But if you’re looking for something more, of course there’s also a brand new hot dog loaded with bacon jam.

The staff at Neuman are just as excited as the fans to see the return squad in action.

“We missed a lot during the pandemic and yes, you know, you’re glad we’re back in action and in the power of the Warriors,” said Korise Jubert, an Oakland fan.

The Warriors face the Denver Nuggets at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
